Sci-Tech Asia is an international online platform and research network promoting the study of science and technology in society (STS). Initially developed as a course website to support the development of the HKU Common Core course CCGL9051 Technology, Power and Culture in the Global Age, Sci-Tech Asia has evolved into a much larger scholarly, institutional, and pedagogical project that places Hong Kong and Asia at the centre of global developments in the field of STS. The platform includes multiple functionalities such as an online encyclopedia of STS, a YouTube Channel with interviews with major scholars, and a searchable database with online news and reports capturing the complex intersections between science, technology, and society in Asia and the world.
